A typical day at Baby JOY
A typical day at Baby JOY is calm and relaxed, at a pace that suits the children’s age.
Most of all, we love playing outside, because the Baby JOY garden is the best place to be. Here we plant tomatoes, build snowmen, jump in puddles or make a big mandala from different kinds of seeds and grains. We love the swings and playing in the sandbox, but just as often we rest in the hygge zone, where hammocks are waiting for us. There we can swing, cuddle and relax in the shade of the trees.
The rhythm of our day comes from regular rituals, such as meals, nap time and everything that goes with them: tidying up, washing hands, getting dressed and cuddling before sleep. At every step, we support each child’s independence and respect their own pace of development.
Baby JOY is a special place in Warsaw, full of Scandinavian hygge, where children’s laughter fills every corner of our beautiful garden.

We sent our little son to Joy when he was 8 months old, and now we can say it was a great choice. He is always happy to go to daycare and greets the caregivers with a big smile. When I pick him up, he is happy and well fed, and it looks like only then does he remember he has parents ;)). Every day there are different activities, like dog therapy, puppet theater, a pumpkin festival, Teddy Bear Day, English, and honestly the list never ends. At daycare he eats varied, healthy meals. There is a big garden with swings, a sandbox and other fun things. The kids are never bored, they have a regular daily schedule and they seem happy. All in all, we really recommend Joy;)

EwaI sincerely recommend Baby Joy! It is truly a special place on the map of Warsaw. I appreciate that all the caregivers are very empathetic, warm, smiling, committed and easy to talk to. The groups are very small. A huge advantage, besides the staff, is the beautiful big garden where the little ones spend a lot of time – in season you take your child straight there; the kids eat, play, get messy and have activities in the garden. Our son loved going to “our” daycare, and we finish this wonderful adventure with a tear in our eye!

They create an environment where children can explore their interests, make their own choices, and build confidence with gentle guidance rather than constant direction. Even during celebrations, they made sure there were no allergen-containing treats, allowing every child to take part safely. The nursery has a lovely, secure garden where the children spend lots of time outdoors. We've seen our son become much more confident and independent since joining, and we're very grateful to the whole team.
Iryna H.A wonderful place for little ones, and our daughter loves it! A big garden with a huge sandbox, toys, ride-on toys, little snack tables - the kids use it all every day! The caregivers are caring and creative, the owners really look after the place, and everyone can feel looked after. Music and movement, a harpist who comes regularly, plus all kinds of interesting guests (alpacas, drummers, etc.). I really recommend this place to all parents who are looking for something more for their little one:)

How do you care for the youngest children?
BabyJOY is a private daycare in Mokotów. Close and caring attention matters most to us. We look after the child's relationship with the caregivers, their sense of safety and a pace that fits them. We watch closely how the child feels and what they need at the moment.
From what age do you accept children?
We accept children from 12 months old.
How does the adaptation (transition) period work?
Adaptation at BabyJOY is an individual process that we lead. We start with a meeting with the parent, learn about the child's needs and habits and prepare the parent for the first days. The child starts together with the parent. Then we slowly introduce separations and extend the time the child stays alone. We choose the next steps based on how the child feels in the new place and how they build a bond with the caregivers.
What does a day at BabyJOY look like?
We welcome children from 8:00, and between 8:15 and 8:45 we have a buffet breakfast. Around 10:00 children get a fruit or vegetable snack.
The morning is time for play, the garden, activities offered by the caregivers and contact with English. Lunch is at 12:30 and nap time starts around 13:00. Children wake up at their own pace, and around 14:45–15:00 we serve the afternoon snack. The afternoon is calmer play, books, songs and time with the caregivers.
Do you help children with eating and falling asleep?
Yes. We don't expect a small child to eat or fall asleep alone from the start. Carers stay with children during meals, help them slowly learn to use cutlery and keep an eye on how they eat. A child can also eat with their hands.
It is the same with naps — we help children fall asleep and adapt the way we do it to each child and their needs.
What do children eat at BabyJOY?
Meals come from a catering company that specialises in food for children. The menu is made for the youngest — no added sugar, limited salt, and the sweet taste comes mainly from fruit.
We keep this rule for birthdays and other celebrations too — instead of cakes and sweets we prepare fruit snacks for the children.
Do children at BabyJOY have contact with English?
Yes. One of our caregivers speaks to the children only in English and spends time with both groups. English comes up in planned activities, play and everyday routines, so children hear it naturally during the day.
How much does BabyJOY cost?
Tuition is 2,200 zł a month, and with the government “Aktywnie w żłobku” childcare subsidy the parent pays 700 zł. Meals and a one-time enrollment fee are paid separately. See Prices for details.
How can I use the “Aktywnie w żłobku” program?
When your child joins BabyJOY, we give you the information you need to apply and help you fill out the details about our daycare correctly. With the program, tuition is 700 zł a month.
Is BabyJOY open during the holidays?
Yes. We work all year round, with no summer or winter break, Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:30.
Where is BabyJOY? Is there parking?
BabyJOY is in Mokotów, at ul. Olimpijska 9, close to JOY preschool. You can park along Olimpijska Street. It is a one-way street, so it is best to drive in from Spartańska or Płatowcowa Street. See the map →
Can my child move on to JOY preschool after BabyJOY?
Yes, and children from BabyJOY have priority. JOY preschool is at ul. Racławicka 124 and accepts children from 2.5 years old.
